Growing Older is Great Because…

  1. The longer I live, the smarter I get.
  2. Grey hair earns respect.
  3. Now I have time to garden.
  4. I sleep less and play bingo more.
  5. I finally set up that woodshop.
  6. I’m learning to tap dance.
  7. I still can dance.
  8. When I’m athletic, everyone notices!
  9. Every day is a new experience.
  10. Experience has made me wisher.
  11. The banister has taken on a new meaning.
  12. Wisdom has made me a poet.
  13. I actually have time to write.
  14. Memories give me material for writing.
  15. As my wisdom grows, so does my self esteem.
  16. I’m a collector’s item.
  17. I make my own decisions.
  18. There is always something new to look forward to.
  19. I take things in stride.
  20. Tolerance grows with age.
  21. I’ve lost my inhibitions.
  22. I’m free from responsibilities.
  23. It’s like being a recycled teenager – only better!
  24. Being young at heart is better than being young.
  25. I’m still a whipper snapper.
  26. I can follow my bliss.
  27. My car insurance is cheaper.
  28. My family-raising days are over.
  29. I can do whatever I want.
  30. I don’t have to do anything.
  31. Life gets more interesting!
  32. I have time to travel.
  33. I love elderhostels.
  34. I can travel off season.
  35. My worries are fewer.
  36. I can sleep later.
  37. I can get up early.
  38. I’m relaxed.
  39. At 82, I’m still dating.
  40. I have time for everything – life doing nothing.
  41. My family brags about my age.
  42. Love is 100% better.
  43. Life a fine wine, I’ve mellowed.
  44. I’m sixty and still sexy.
  45. Now I’m brave enough to join protest groups.
  46. I get my picture in the paper.
  47. I’m not afraid to ask for help.
  48. Asking for help doesn’t make me dependent.
  49. I love senior discounts.
  50. Movies cost less.
  51. I amaze my granddaughter with my vitality.
  52. I can still mow my own lawn.
  53. I can still play a mean game of pool.
  54. I have six grandchildren.
  55. And eight great-grandchildren.
  56. I can spoil my grandchildren.
  57. Then send them home!
  58. People hold doors open for me.
  59. I have more self confidence.
  60. I don’t care what others think.
  61. I dress any way I want.
  62. I get respect from youngsters.
  63. There are no alarms or schedules.
  64. I don’t have to work.
  65. I can start a new career.
  66. I have time to read, nibble and grow fat.
  67. Senor portions in restaurants keep me thin.
  68. I have time to waste.
  69. I have more time for friends.
  70. This is such an exciting age to be living in!
  71. Each new day is a gift.
  72. I’m out of the rat race.
  73. I ride the bus for less.
  74. Public transportation keeps me independent.
  75. I have time to go to garage sales.
  76. I have enough junk to hold my own garage sale.
  77. My past is a valuable asset.
  78. Each day is dividend in life.
  79. My interest continues to grow.
  80. I can spend my days on the golf course.
  81. Rather than searching for dreams, I’m living them.
  82. I do the same things I’ve always done.
  83. My decisions are based on experience.
  84. I’m still learning from my mistakes.
  85. Others forgive my mistakes.
  86. I’ve learned to forgive myself.
  87. At 90, I’ve mastered a cane.
  88. I’m proving it’s never too late to learn.
  89. I’ve survived it all.
  90. I can be impulsive.
  91. My antics raise my children’s eyebrows.
  92. I only have to please myself.
  93. I have time for my spouse.
  94. We watch sunsets.
  95. We dance to big band music.
  96. We’re celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.
  97. I’m friendly learning to paint.
  98. I’ve started a cartooning class.
  99. I look forward to each new day.
